What Is GcMAF?
GcMAF — Gc Protein-derived Macrophage Activating Factor — is a naturally-occurring glycoprotein found in healthy human serum. It is produced through the deglycosylation of Vitamin D Binding Protein (GcProtein, or DBP), a process catalysed by enzymes on the surface of B and T lymphocytes.
Macrophages are the commanding officers of the immune system — large, versatile cells responsible for detecting, engulfing, and destroying pathogens, cancer cells, and cellular debris. In a healthy immune system, GcMAF ensures macrophages remain activated and responsive to immune threats.
In many chronic disease states — including cancer, viral infections, and neurological conditions — elevated levels of nagalase (an enzyme secreted by pathogens and tumour cells) deglycosylate and inactivate GcProtein, suppressing endogenous GcMAF production and disabling macrophage function. Exogenous GcMAF restores this critical immune pathway.
Clinical Applications
Nagalase — an enzyme elevated in many chronic diseases — suppresses endogenous GcMAF production, disabling macrophage function. Research explores GcMAF restoration across a broad spectrum of immune-related conditions.
Immune Support for Optimal Wellness
GcMAF — Gc protein-derived Macrophage Activating Factor — is a naturally occurring immune protein produced in healthy human serum. It plays a central role in activating macrophages, the immune system's primary defense against cancer cells, viruses, and pathogens.
When administered under licensed medical supervision, GcMAF supports the body's innate immune response — making it a compelling adjunct therapy for clinicians managing complex immune-related conditions.
More InfoImmune Activation
GcMAF directly activates macrophages — the sentinels of your immune system — restoring their ability to identify and eliminate threats.
Macrophage Support
By correcting nagalase-mediated suppression, GcMAF allows the immune system to return to its natural state of vigilance and response.
Clinically Documented
More than 30 years of peer-reviewed research documents GcMAF's safety and biological activity across multiple patient populations.

How Does GcMAF Work?
GcMAF activates macrophages — the immune system's commanding officers — through a precise receptor-binding mechanism that restores natural immune surveillance.
GcMAF binds to macrophage receptors
GcMAF attaches to specific receptors on the surface of macrophages throughout the body, initiating the activation cascade.
Macrophages activate and multiply
Receptor binding triggers intracellular signalling pathways, causing macrophages to enlarge, increase in number, and heighten their phagocytic capacity.
Coordinated immune response begins
Activated macrophages communicate with T-cells, NK cells, and other immune components, orchestrating a broad and targeted immune response.
As the immune system's primary phagocytic cells, macrophages orchestrate both innate and adaptive immunity. When GcMAF restores their activity, it effectively re-engages the body's most powerful natural defence mechanism — one that has evolved over millions of years to identify and eliminate biological threats.
Built on Decades of Science
